Unauthenticated account creation via unrestricted REST registration
Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Omnishop 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to create customer accounts through a public REST endpoint. The /users/register permission callback always returns true, and the handler calls wp_create_user() without honoring users_can_register or checking a nonce or CAPTCHA. No authentication is required, and the result is a customer account even when site registration is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
