CVE-2025-6211Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Document-content corruption via text-only chunk IDs

Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 10, 2025

Chunk-ID collisions in LlamaIndex DocugamiReader before 0.3.1 allow remote attackers to overwrite structurally distinct document chunks. The _build_framework_chunk function hashes only chunk text, so equal text at different XML paths receives the same ID and one chunk replaces another. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled document content to reach DocugamiReader; the result is lost hierarchy or content and unreliable retrieval output.
