Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in WP Import Export Lite 3.9.28 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place files on the server. The wpie_tempalte_import function accepts template uploads without validating their file types before storing them. Subscriber-level access and administrator-granted permission are required; stored executable content creates a path to remote code execution.
