CVE-2025-62001Network attack vector

Monitoring bypass via excluded directory renaming

Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025

Detection bypass in BullWall Ransomware Containment allows remote authenticated users with file-write access to evade monitoring. Configurable file and directory exclusion patterns, including $RECYCLE.BIN, omit matching renamed directories from monitoring; earlier releases hard-code this behavior. The bypass applies only when exclusions are configured and prevents monitoring inside the renamed directory, rather than disabling every detection method.
