Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attribute
Published Jul 11, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Stored XSS in GeoDirectory before 2.8.120 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted shortcode attribute. The gd_best_of shortcode outputs the tab_layout attribute into page markup without validation or escaping. Contributor access is required to save the payload, and a viewer must hover over the rendered widget area to trigger it in that viewer's browser.
