Code execution via auto-compiled codeStream directives
Published Feb 18, 2026 · Updated Feb 18, 2026
Code injection in OpenCFD Ltd OpenFOAM 2506 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a crafted simulation file. The #codeStream directive automatically compiles and executes embedded C++ from user-supplied dictionary files, including system() calls. Processing an untrusted simulation while allowSystemOperations retains its default true value is sufficient; resulting code runs with the local user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
