CVE-2025-61977

Project decryption via single-question password recovery

Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025

Weak password recovery in AutomationDirect Productivity Suite 4.4.1.19 allows local users to decrypt password-protected projects. The forgotten-password workflow treats one recovery answer as sufficient proof and releases project decryption without the original password. Exploitation requires local, low-privileged access to an encrypted project and exposes its contents despite the password protection.
