Code injection in AVEVA Process Optimization 2024.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through its Model Application Server API. AVEVA has not disclosed which API handler or input reaches a code-generation operation without adequate control. The API is reachable without authentication through the taoimr service, which runs with OS system privileges and can yield complete control of the Model Application Server.
