CVE-2025-61934Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file access via unrestricted simulator binding

Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025

Unrestricted binding in AutomationDirect Productivity Suite 4.2.1.9 and earlier lets remote attackers access host files without authentication. ProductivityService exposes the PLC simulator on unrestricted IP interfaces and accepts file operations without authenticating the caller. Network reachability to the simulator service is sufficient to read, write, or delete arbitrary files and folders on the Windows host.
