CVE-2025-61924Network attack vector

PayPal merchant account hijacking via array_search misuse

Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025

Validation bypass in PrestaShop Checkout before 4.4.1 and 5.0.0 through 5.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to hijack a PayPal merchant account. The back-office merchant-account check treats the PHP array_search() result as a validation decision, allowing a target value to bypass the intended check. High-privilege back-office access is required; exploitation changes the merchant account associated with payment processing without interrupting service.
