Restricted data disclosure via unchecked API filters
Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025
Information disclosure in the Icinga 2 API allows remote authenticated users to read restricted data through object filters. The /v1/objects filter evaluator exposed global variables and object lookup functions without enforcing the API account's variables and objects/query permissions. An authenticated API account with access to a filter-accepting endpoint is required; exposed data includes hidden objects, global values, and TicketSalt.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 2.14.0, < 2.14.7
- Affected versionversion=>= 2.15.0, < 2.15.1
