CVE-2025-6188Network attack vector

Unauthenticated UDP data injection via spoofed LspPing replies

Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Authentication bypass in affected Arista EOS releases allows remote attackers to inject spoofed data via crafted UDP packets. EOS accepts malicious UDP packets whose source port is 3503 as LspPing Echo Replies, allowing them to reach UDP services without independently authenticating the sender. The flaw is reachable in the default configuration and affects integrity only; Arista has not disclosed more specific service behavior.
