Code execution via animation-item out-of-bounds write
Published Oct 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 10, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in V-SFT 6.2.7.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted V-SFT file. The VS6ComFile!set_AnimationItem parser writes outside the bounds of a target buffer while processing untrusted animation-item data. Successful exploitation requires local delivery and active user interaction and can also disclose information or terminate the affected process abnormally.
