Code execution via malicious file heap overflow
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe Illustrator 2024 28.7.10 and earlier and Illustrator 2025 29.8.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code. Adobe has not disclosed the affected file parser, malformed field, or copy operation that overruns the heap buffer. The issue is limited to Windows builds and requires a user to open a malicious file; successful exploitation runs code in the current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
