Improper privilege management in StrongDM sdm-cli before 47.50.0 allows local users to install or remove Windows root certificates. The Windows service mishandles certificate-management communication, but StrongDM has not disclosed the message format, validation failure, or service operation involved. A low-privileged local user can alter the machine trust store without user interaction, enabling untrusted roots or removal of trusted roots.
