Stored cross-site scripting in Opencast before 17.8 and 18.0 through 18.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script in viewers' browsers. Paella Player 7 plugins interpolate title, description, presenter, contributor, and other media metadata into HTML templates instead of assigning it as text. An attacker needs media-upload and metadata-write access, and a viewer must open the prepared media; the script can alter the page or act with the viewer's session.
