Service interruption via unbounded query parameter parsing
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Unbounded query parsing in Go standard library net/url before 1.24.12 and 1.25.0 through 1.25.5 allows remote attackers to interrupt services. Request.ParseForm passes URL and URL-encoded form pairs to net/url.ParseQuery, which creates map entries without limiting the parameter count. An unauthenticated HTTP request with many distinct pairs can exhaust process memory, causing the application to crash or become unresponsive.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
