Buffer underflow in KEYENCE CORPORATION KV STUDIO 12.23 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted file. KEYENCE and JPCERT/CC have not disclosed the affected file parser or the buffer operation that writes before the intended memory boundary. Exploitation requires a user to open or otherwise process the file, and successful execution runs in the application's security context.
