Restricted group data disclosure via crafted invitation requests
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 10, 2025
Incorrect authorization in GitLab EE 18.0 before 18.0.4 and 18.1 before 18.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted group data. The group invitation API accepts crafted requests from maintainers without enforcing configured group-level user invitation restrictions. A maintainer role and a restricted group are required; unauthorized membership exposes group data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
