Privileged block-count disclosure via missing authorization check
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Information disclosure in Wikimedia Foundation CheckUser allows remote authenticated users to view restricted past-block counts. CheckUserUserInfoCardService counts block-log entries for the UserInfoCard without filtering entries that the requesting account lacks permission to see. High-privilege access and passive interaction with the card are required, and the exposed data is limited to past-block counts.
