Unauthenticated modem crash via improper input validation
Published Mar 9, 2026 · Updated Mar 9, 2026
Improper input validation in Unisoc NR modems for Android 13, 14, 15, and 16 allows remote attackers to crash the modem system. The modem accepts improperly validated network input, but Unisoc has not disclosed the affected parser, message type, or failing validation operation. No authentication, privileges, or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to a modem system crash and resulting service interruption.
