Authenticated service interruption via oversized poll answers
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025
Denial of service in BigBlueButton before 3.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt meetings via oversized poll answers. The pollSubmitUserVote GraphQL mutation accepts an answerIds array without a size limit, causing the backend to process hundreds of thousands of entries. Any user who can join an active meeting and submit a Choices poll response can freeze that meeting and can crash or freeze the server, disrupting other meetings.
