Credential exposure via retained password during concatenation

Credential exposure in Ruby URI before 0.12.5, 0.13.0 through 0.13.2, and 1.0.0 through 1.0.3 allows attackers to read passwords via URI addition. URI::Generic#merge, invoked by URI#+, treated a relative URI containing only user information as lacking authority and retained the base URI's password while replacing its user. Exploitation requires an application to combine attacker-influenced relative input with a credential-bearing base URI, after which the password can appear in a returned or logged combined URI.
