CVE-2025-61492Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary command execution via blacklist bypass

Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026

Command injection in terminal-controller-mcp 0.1.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the execute_command MCP tool. The function checks the literal command string against a short blacklist, while shell substitution can reconstruct blocked command names after validation. Access to the MCP tool is sufficient to run commands with the file-system permissions of the server process, affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
