CVE-2025-61482Public exploit

Two-factor authentication bypass via hooked decryption routines

Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025

Credential disclosure in NetKnights privacyIDEA Authenticator 4.3.0 for Android allows local users with root access to recover OTP seeds. The app's cryptographic routines place decrypted OTP, TOTP, and HOTP seeds in plaintext process buffers that injected runtime hooks can copy. Root or equivalent local code execution on the Android device is required; recovered seeds generate valid one-time passwords for enrolled accounts.
