CVE-2025-61481Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential interception via default cleartext WebFig

Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025

Cleartext transmission in MikroTik RouterOS 7.14.2 and SwOS 2.18 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept WebFig credentials. WebFig loads its login page and JavaScript over HTTP, stores the username and password in window.sessionStorage, and sends authentication traffic without TLS. Exploitation requires an on-path position between an administrator's browser and the device; captured credentials permit management access and configuration changes.
