Authenticated administrator takeover via userId tampering
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Privilege escalation in NCR Atleos Terminal Manager (ConfigApp) 3.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to obtain administrator access. GetRedirectionUrl trusts a user-controlled userId in the redirect request and issues a bearer token carrying the selected administrator identity and privileges. A normal authenticated account is sufficient to expose administrator functions, permit unauthorized changes, and misattribute resulting activity to the administrator.
