Administrator account takeover via stored SVG script
Published Oct 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 20, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in TastyIgniter 3.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to hijack an administrator via an SVG preview. The admin/media_manager upload accepts an SVG containing JavaScript and later renders it for preview in the administrator's browser without neutralizing the embedded script. The attacker needs file-upload access and an administrator must preview the file; the script then acts with the administrator's session and can replace account credentials.
