Root access via hard-coded Telnet credentials

Hard-coded credentials in H3C Magic network devices allow remote attackers to obtain root access through the Telnet service. The firmware stores a weak root password in /etc/shadow or leaves the root account without a password, so Telnet accepts the embedded credential or no password. Telnet is enabled by default on some devices and can be enabled through management pages on others; a Virtual Servers mapping can expose it publicly.
