Unauthenticated command execution via crafted IP address
Published Nov 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 5, 2025
OS command injection in Dynatrace ActiveGate ping extension 1.016 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted IP address. The Test Target Host value reaches the Windows command prompt without rejecting ampersand command separators, so appended input executes as another command. The unauthenticated network path runs injected commands under the ActiveGate Local Service account, enabling host compromise.
