Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked lanMask copy
Published Jun 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda FH1203 2.0.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through a crafted LAN mask. The fromadvsetlanip handler for /goform/AdvSetLanip passes the POST parameter lanMask to strcpy without checking its length, allowing data to overrun the destination buffer. Low-privileged access to the management endpoint is required; the published 1,000-byte request demonstrates the trigger, but public evidence does not establish repeatable code execution.
