Unauthorized data access via sequential identifier tampering
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Improper access control in mCarFix Motorists App 2.3 allows remote attackers to read user data and groups by altering numeric IDs. The app accepts registrations without completed verification, while resource lookups use attacker-controlled sequential identifiers without enforcing account ownership. Unauthenticated attackers can create fake accounts and enumerate identifiers across account boundaries; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.
