Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded page formatting
Published Jun 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1201 firmware 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via crafted page data. The fromSafeMacFilter function passes the POST page value to sprintf when constructing a URL in a fixed stack array without a length bound. A valid management session and network reachability are required, while the published proof of concept establishes delivery but no specific post-overflow result.
