Denial of service in OpenLink Virtuoso Open Source 7.2.11 allows remote attackers to crash the database via crafted SQL. The sqlo_strip_in_join optimizer repeatedly recurses while compiling an UPDATE containing a nested IN subquery with XML aggregation, exhausting the call stack. The public reproduction uses a DBA session, so exploitation without database credentials is not demonstrated despite the published unauthenticated assessment.
