Authenticated command execution via crafted MAC address
Published Jun 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
OS command injection in WifiSoft UniBox Controller 20250506 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted MAC address. The /authentication/logout.php endpoint places the mac_address HTTP parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Low-privileged access to the web interface is required, and successful injection runs arbitrary commands with the web application's permissions.
