Unauthenticated server crash via crafted SQL
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Denial of service in OpenLink Virtuoso Open Source 7.2.11 allows remote attackers to crash the server with crafted SQL statements. The SQL optimizer reaches sqlo_key_part_best while costing an ORDER BY plan for a nested view and terminates the process; the public issue does not identify the invalid memory operation. Unauthenticated network access to a SQL endpoint is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is a repeatable server-process crash.
