Reflected XSS via unescaped cat attribute
Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 1, 2025
Reflected XSS in Codazon Magento Themes 1.1.0.0 through 2.4.7 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted cat parameter. The cdz-cat-search widget writes the cat value without escaping into a single-quoted data-search attribute, permitting attribute breakout. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL and an active Codazon theme whose rendering context exposes the sink; script runs in that site's browser origin.
