Unauthenticated configuration tampering via exposed PATCH route
Published Jun 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
Improper authorization in szluyu99 gin-vue-blog allows remote attackers to modify website configuration through an unauthenticated API. UpdateConfig is registered as base.PATCH("/config") in the unauthenticated base route group, so PATCH /api/config accepts configuration changes without a login or permission check. The affected rolling-release state through commit 61dd11ccd296e8642a318ada3ef7b3f7776d2410 permits changes to site identity and comment-review controls.
