Administrator-browser JavaScript execution via unencoded log output
Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025
Stored XSS in OpenEnergyMonitor Emoncms 11.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. Modules/input/input_methods.php logs an invalid fulljson value without sanitization, and the admin log view inserts the response with jQuery .html(). A read-and-write API key is required to plant the payload, and an administrator must open /admin/log; the script then runs in the administrator's Emoncms origin.
