Unauthenticated SSRF via unvalidated thumbnail URI
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Server-side request forgery in Halo CMS 2.21 allows remote attackers to make server-side HTTP requests to internal or attacker-controlled URLs. The unauthenticated Thumbnail via-uri endpoint performs a GET to the supplied URI without adequate destination validation and returns a 307 redirect containing the resolved URL. This permits requests into otherwise unreachable networks and can disclose internal URLs through the Location header.
