HTTP header injection via unvalidated request target
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025
HTTP header injection in BusyBox wget 1.37.0 and earlier allows attackers to inject headers through a crafted request target. networking/wget.c copies URL path and query bytes verbatim into the HTTP request line without rejecting raw C0 controls, DEL, or spaces, so CR or LF splits the line. Exploitation requires control of a URL passed to wget; the injected bytes can add attacker-controlled HTTP headers to the outbound request.
