Reflected script execution via unsanitized comment ID
Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025
Reflected cross-site scripting in Gnuboard 5.6.15 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through c_id. bbs/view_comment.php passes the query parameter through clean_xss_tags without removing quote and comma delimiters, allowing attacker input to escape its intended context. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted request; script execution remains within the victim's browser security context.
