Code execution via pre-validation file copy
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Make Connector 1.5.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute code. The upload_media function copies the temporary file into a web-accessible media path before checking its extension-derived MIME type against WordPress's allowlist. A Make Connector API key obtained by an administrator is required; a rejected PHP upload remains reachable and can run commands with the web server's privileges.
