Administrator takeover via unauthenticated password reset
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Improper authentication in the NETLINK HG322G V1.0.00-231017 web interface allows remote attackers to seize administrator access. The /boaform/getASPdata/new_formPasswordSetup endpoint accepts a password-changing POST without validating a session token, authentication state, or CSRF protection. Network access to the management interface is sufficient; changing the sole administrator password grants device control and locks out the legitimate administrator.
