Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated theme path
Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025
Path traversal in PerfreeBlog 4.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files through a crafted theme path. The unInstallTheme function directly concatenates the unvalidated themePath value, checks only whether the resolved path exists, and accepts ../ sequences before deletion. Access to background Theme Management is required, and the server account's filesystem permissions limit which files can be removed.
