CVE-2025-60729Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via substring path validation

Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025

Path traversal in PerfreeBlog 4.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through a theme file request. The validThemeFilePath function accepts a path when it merely exists, is nonempty, and contains the caller-supplied themePath, so ../ sequences escape the theme directory. The affected endpoint omits the hasPermission check; an ordinary registered account can retrieve configuration files and other readable host data.
