Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft GDI+ across Windows and Office allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted metafile. The GDI+ metafile parser writes malformed record data beyond a heap allocation; Microsoft has not identified the affected routine or record type. Exploitation normally requires a user to open a crafted document, while services that automatically parse uploaded documents can be compromised without user interaction.
