Local privilege escalation via untrusted pointer dereference
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Windows Server RRAS allows local users to elevate privileges on affected systems. Microsoft has not disclosed the RRAS code path or operation that accepts and dereferences the attacker-controlled pointer. A low-privileged local account is required, and successful exploitation grants higher privileges without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
