Unauthenticated command execution via cloud update parameters
Published Nov 13, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Command injection in ToToLink A720R firmware 4.1.5cu.614_B20230630 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The cloudupdate_check binary's sub_402414 function inserts the magicid and url parameters into echo command strings and passes them to system() without sanitization. Access to the device's web interface is sufficient, with no authentication or user interaction required; injected commands run with the service's device privileges.
