Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped feed attributes
Published Sep 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Easy Social Feed 6.6.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted feed attributes. The Facebook frontend public.js code reads data-caption and data-linktext values into client-rendered markup without adequate sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which then runs in visitors' browsers when they open the affected page.
